Tree Removal in Dunblane
Tree Removal · Dunblane
Safe, planned tree removal for homes and businesses
Dead, dangerous or simply in the wrong place, we take trees down safely, piece by piece where space is tight, and leave your garden clean.
Taking a tree down safely takes more than a chainsaw. Before any cut is made we look at the tree’s lean and condition, what’s underneath it and where every section will land. Where there’s open space, a tree can sometimes be felled in one go. In a typical Dunblane garden, hemmed in by houses, fences, sheds and greenhouses, it’s usually dismantled from the top down.
That’s where controlled dissection comes in. Using specialist rigging, our climbers lower each section on ropes so nothing is dropped onto your property, your neighbour’s or your plants. Once the tree is down we clear the timber and green waste, and we can grind out the stump so the space is ready to use.
What’s included
- Straight felling where there’s room to do it safely
- Sectional dismantling (controlled dissection)
- Dead, dying and storm-damaged trees
- Large and hazardous tree removal
- Topping and reducing trees in stages
- Timber and green waste cleared away
- Stump grinding to finish the job
Why trees come down in Dunblane
Ash dieback has spread across Scotland, and Dunblane’s ash trees haven’t escaped it. Infected trees become brittle as the disease progresses, so ash trees overhanging homes, paths and roads need assessing before they start to shed limbs.
Other common reasons are trees that have outgrown smaller gardens in newer parts of town such as Kippendavie and Barbush, conifers planted as hedging that have turned into full-sized trees, and roots lifting driveways or pushing against walls.
Whatever the reason, we’ll give you an honest view on whether removal really is the best option. Sometimes a reduction is all that’s needed, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case.

Tree Removal Dunblane questions
Can’t see your question? Call 07599 008809 for friendly, no-obligation advice.
Do I need permission to remove a tree in Dunblane?
Most garden trees can be removed without permission. If a tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order, or stands within a conservation area such as the Dunblane Conservation Area, you’ll need to notify Stirling Council or get its consent first. We’ll flag this when we look at the job.
Can you remove a tree with no access for machinery?
Yes. Most of our removals are carried out by climbers using ropes and rigging, so we can work in back gardens reached only by a side path. Sections are lowered and carried out by hand where needed.
What happens to the wood?
All timber and green waste is cleared and disposed of responsibly. If you’d like to keep any of the logs, just mention it when we quote.
